A day does not start right without a good coffee. My life runs on two parallel tracks: during the day I work as a CEO for Media Digital Agency, a communication and media agency; at night I am a dj and play music in some of the most fashionable clubs in Milan and other European capitals. I can’t imagine facing my busy life with no coffee! How many do I drink a day? At least 5.
My mornings start with an espresso at Bar Tabacchi by Walter, in via Lodovico Muratori, behind my office in Porta Romana district. I renamed it "the realm of banter and chit-chatting": impeccable service, jokes, fun and an excellent espresso.
For informal meetings I usually go to Arnold Coffee in via Orefici, between Duomo and Cordusio. In this central area it is not easy to find a bar where you can sit quietly and working on your PC – which is one of the reasons why I recommend this bar. Not to mention the fact that I love their iced coffee ...
The ideal day ends with a good aperitif with friends and colleagues. I usually prefer cocktail bars with nice interiors and not over-crowded. I recommend Casa Milani close to Lima tube station. During Ape time, they serve small samples of local Italian cuisine, such as creamy salted cod, Tuscan “affettati”, cheeses and also some vegetarian and gluten-free options, to be paired with a Gin and Tonic.
The Globe in Piazza Cinque Giornate is another own favourite: I suggest you book a spot on the terrace!
In the evening when I'm not djing, I usually pop into Twain, my friend Lollo’s cocktial bar. Twain is in Via Teodosio, in the Città Studi district, an area buzzing with arty people as well as university students. I always ask Lollo to create a bespoke cocktail for me. My favorite drink? The "Little Red Riding Hood". Intrigued? Go taste it. You won’t be let down!
