WITH THE MILAN COFFEE FESTIVAL JUST OVER A WEEK AWAY, WE'RE EXCITED TO SHARE A FEW VIGNETTES FROM OUR PEOPLE OF MILAN PHOTO SERIES, CELEBRATING THE INDIVIDUALS WHO MAKE UP THIS RICH CULTURAL CITY. 

Simona and Riccardo are two architects who also run a digital communication platform called Simple Flair. 



Ciao Simona & Riccardo! What are your favourite ways to take coffee?

S: For me, a long espresso.
R: I prefer an Americano! A long coffee to enjoy while working in front of the PC.

What are your favourite places in Milan?

S: Porta Venezia
R: I also love the Cinque Vie area, especially because it is where we have our workspace and we are very fond of it.

Who are your favourite designers?

S: Achille Castiglioni, a historical Milanese designer. I especially love the lighting fixtures, and how functionality and aesthetics were combined in every product.
R: It's a dificult question for me. I am very passionate about all those unknown design objects. To stay in the world of the Masters I would mention Ettore Sottsass, a personality that surely draw from in our own work. 

What are your essential pieces of clothing?

S: Like so many women, the bag. I could buy any shape and colour. Acne Studios, Sunnei, and Jil Sander all have a common denominator that reflects my aesthetics. 
R: I tend to always dress the same. One thing I like to change is my jacket; I'm a fan of all kinds of jackets.
